Supported by a Touring Support grant from CreateSA’s Arts and Culture Grants Program, Patch Theatre’s immersive children’s show ZOOOM has enthralled international audiences in Hong Kong and Singapore, with seasons that exceeded box office targets and earned critical acclaim.

ZOOOM is an immersive performance that explores what dreams are made of. Combining original music, lasers, and vivid projections, it invites the audience on a magical quest to help a lost star find its way home. Inspired by the beloved children’s book Harold and the Purple Crayon, the work celebrates creativity as a child’s way of making sense of the world.

In March 2024, ZOOOM lit up Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, one of the world’s largest cultural spaces, before continuing to Singapore’s historic Victoria Theatre in May 2025. Across both seasons, more than 2,800 young audience members were drawn into a dazzling world of light and imagination. The tour also opened doors to new global connections, paving the way for future collaborations and showcasing South Australian creativity on the international stage.

The adventure is far from over. In November 2025, ZOOOM will appear at Ithra in Saudi Arabia, before returning home for Melbourne and Sydney seasons in 2026, continuing its journey of wonder across the globe.
