South Australian artists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter the Healing Arts South Australia Artist Award through the newly launched Healing Arts South Australia website.

The winning artwork will receive a $5,000 prize and be featured across campaign materials, helping represent Healing Arts South Australia.

The Artist Award and website launch mark an important milestone for the state-wide initiative exploring how arts, culture and creativity can support health, wellbeing and social connection.

Led by CreateSA in partnership with the Jameel Arts & Health Lab and the World Health Organization, Healing Arts South Australia is the first Healing Arts campaign to be delivered in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere. The program will culminate in a week of events and activities across South Australia from 3 to 9 May 2027.

The new website serves as the central hub for information, activity registrations and opportunities to get involved. Organisations, communities, artists, educators, health practitioners and creative professionals can register their interest in hosting an activity or event, while anyone interested in the initiative can subscribe to the newsletter for updates and future opportunities.

Early registrations are now open, with funding opportunities and grants to be announced in the coming months.

Visit the Healing Arts South Australia website to learn more about the Artist Award, register an activity or event, and sign up to the newsletter.
