Eight local game developers from six studios have been selected to participate in the South Australian Film Corporation’s (SAFC) delegation to Cologne, Germany, for Gamescom 2025.
As the world’s largest and most influential games trade fair, attracting more than 300,000 visitors each year including publishers, distributors, gamers and international media, this opportunity will see our developers shine on the world stage.
Sean Dee, Emma Waters, Emma Losin, Jacob von Appen, Rupert McPharlin, Chad Habel, Daniel McGuinness and John Millard were chosen for their outstanding, innovative approach to game development and storytelling.
In partnership with the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association, and supported by CreateSA, they will showcase their work at the South Australian exhibition stand in the dedicated ‘Australian Pavilion’ from 20-24 August at Gamescom 2025.
Also attending is South Australia’s Games Exhibition (SAGE), gaining global exposure as it heads into its fourth year, and increasing awareness of our state’s games sector and opportunities for international marketplace involvement.
South Australia’s presence and impact at Gamescom 2025 illustrates CreateSA’s ambitions to facilitate opportunities for local artists and creatives to develop markets and support strategic export initiatives for the arts, cultural and creative industries.
