As a free online resource to encourage and promote fair, safe and respectful workplace practices across Australia’s creative industries, the newly launched Creative Workplaces website is set to make a difference.
Lead by Creative Australia, CreateSA is proud to co-invest in leading this new initiative designed for everyone working in the creative industries, from organisations and employers through to individual and independent artists, freelancers, employees, volunteers.
The website is a central hub that provides clear and practical information with examples relevant to the arts and cultural sector and a suite of tools and resources about:
- contracts and payment
- dealing with workplace issues
- making workplaces safe
- building first nations relations
- working with children and young people
- supporting more accessible workplaces
Designed to explain the basics, the website also assists with the next steps, offering links to arts organisations and government services and support.
To make the most of the new website, interested users can explore the key features and topics by watching a short 30-minute webinar online, Welcome to the Creative Workplaces website tour.
CreateSA’s investment in Creative Workplaces aligns with our goals to foster conditions for artists, arts workers and creatives to sustain successful careers and deliver resources to support fair and safe workplaces across the arts, cultural and creative industries.
The newly established partnership between CreateSA and Creative Australia is a commitment of the A Place to Create Delivery Plan 2025-2027.
Together, and through Creative Workplaces, we can create stronger, healthier creative workplaces where people and creativity thrive.
