CreateSA is partnering with Green Industries SA (GISA) to help South Australia's arts, cultural and creative industries reduce waste and adopt more sustainable practices.

As part of supporting climate action and circular economy goals outlined in the A Place to Create Delivery Plan, CreateSA is promoting GISA's newly updated Waste and Recycling at Events and Venues Guide across the sector.

Designed for event organisers and venue operators, the guide provides practical tools and resources to help organisations plan for waste and recycling, improve resource recovery, and find opportunities to reduce environmental impact.

Within the guide is a toolkit, which includes ready-to-use templates, calculators, signage and planning resources that can be adapted for events and venues of all sizes. Whether planning a festival, exhibition, performance or community event, organisations can use the guide to build sustainability considerations into their operations from the outset.

By connecting the sector with practical resources and expertise, this collaboration supports organisations to take meaningful action on sustainability while contributing to South Australia's broader waste reduction and recycling goals.
