Arts and Culture Grants Program July 2024 outcomes released
Congratulations to the South Australian artists and arts organisations who have secured funding in the latest round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program.
Recipients of the July 2024 round will share in more than $1.2 million, with funding supporting activities that are expected to employ more than 700 artists and arts workers.
Fifty grants have been recommended, spanning the art form areas of literature, performing arts, and visual art, craft and design.
Funded activity includes support to Adelaide Contemporary Experimental (ACE) for Kumarangk – part of a landmark First Nations project led by Country Arts SA to produce a significant gallery exhibition featuring newly commissioned weaving, installation and sound works by an intergenerational cohort of Ngarrindjeri women artists.
Funding will also support established writer Don Henderson to produce the first draft of his second young adult novel, Victory Galahs, Patch Theatre to present school and family performances of Wonderverse in regional South Australia, and classical musician and composer Rachel Bruerville to record her debut album.
Grant applications were assessed against published criteria by sector representatives with specialist art form, arts practice, arts management, and cultural expertise.
Information about each grant category and recipients is available in the list below.
The October 2024 round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program is currently open, with applications closing on Tuesday 8 October 2024.
