Congratulations to the South Australian artists and arts organisations who have secured funding in the latest round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program.
Recipients of the February 2025 round will share in over $970,000, with funding supporting activities that are expected to employ more than 500 artists and arts workers.
57 grants have been recommended, for activity spanning the art form areas of literature, performing arts, and visual art, craft and design, with funded activities set to take place in locally, nationally and overseas.
Some of the successful recipients include Writers SA to produce an all‑First Nations issue of Splinter, South Australia’s only print literary journal; Caleena Sansbury for a new dance theatre work, Mullamar; and Chamber Music Adelaide to deliver a music festival in Port Augusta.
Funding will also support Fleur Elise Noble for a new visual theatre production Sunshine and the Dark Cloud to be developed in consultation with young people, and Adelaide Contemporary Experimental for Tactile World, an exhibition project co-designed with the blind and vision-impaired community, aimed at addressing their exclusion from contemporary art.
This grants program, and funded activities ultimately contribute to strengthening our communities, enlivening our places, and connecting us through arts, culture and creativity.
Grant applications were assessed against published criteria by sector representatives with specialist art form, arts practice, arts management, and cultural expertise.
Information about each grant category and recipients is available in the list below.
The July 2025 round of the Arts and Culture Grants Program will open on Wednesday 21 May 2025.
