CreateSA is offering up to 25 South Australian Aboriginal artists, creatives and arts workers the opportunity to take part in a free three-day Governance and Financial Literacy Workshop at Tandanya.
Whether you're involved with an organisation, considering a board or committee role, or want to better understand how arts organisations operate, this workshop will help you build practical governance and financial literacy skills.
You'll learn about:
- governance and leadership in arts organisations
- how boards and committees work
- understanding budgets and financial reports
- making informed decisions and managing responsibilities
- becoming a more confident contributor and leader.
Co-facilitated by an Aboriginal facilitator from the Institute of Community Directors Australia (ICDA), this free workshop is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people working in or connected to the arts and cultural sector. No previous board or committee experience is required.
Connect with other Aboriginal artists and arts workers from across South Australia and build skills that can support future leadership opportunities in the arts.
No previous board or committee experience is required.
